So right now I'm just waiting on the vocals from Smokescreen to be done before piecing together dis album. Very very looking forward to it and ancy to get the ball rolling on mixing it all, even though my plan is to try and record the album in one take a la DJing cause it mixes well together. Shall see.

Taste test from Mixtape in works...

Before my time at Oberlin is out, I've been in the works of making a mixtape with Dan and Daveed, representing the tripped out future hip hop inspired beats we all dabble in. Here's a rough cut of an instrumental I made with Dan, I'm loving the stuff we've been making so I hope we can wrap it up before I leave here. Be on the lookout!

First take on new song, back to my instrumental hip hop roots, I feel like this one is MF-Doom inspired. However my foray into dubstep has made me focus on bass way more than I used to, so my sound is forever changed. Check out the track here:

also I've been borrowing Serato for the past few shows, completely hooked

travelling around before school starts, saw Prefuse 73 and Gaslamp Killer in Chicago and now I'm in Cleveland for a little bit before I head over to NYC and Baltimore. Making progress on my massive song (taking time with it) and I came up with another bitty I'm happy with and is minimal enough that I will probably finish it first, dubstep without wobble and a very arabic inspired-feel. Need to get home to my turntables and keyboard though before I can really make progress with either.

Also this trip is the first time I've really practiced being mobile, I essentially carry everything I need on me at all times to pull out a DJ set, at least with just ableton. Never know when you run into opportunities trippin about.
